Our Story
Crazy 8 was founded in 2004 by Gymboree, a leading name in kids and baby clothing. The idea was simple: provide stylish, quality clothing at affordable prices to every family.
Gymboree had found great success with their premium children’s clothing, but saw an opportunity to reach even more parents by offering deep discounts on popular styles. So the first Crazy 8 store was opened in California, filled with the most coveted clothes and accessories, all priced at just $8 or less.
The concept was an instant hit with parents, who loved being able to affordably dress their kids in the latest fashions. As word spread, Crazy 8 grew rapidly by delivering extreme value on a wide selection of kids, toddler and baby clothes.
In 2010, Crazy 8 separated from Gymboree and became our own brand and company. Freed from our parent company, we’ve been able to focus completely on our mission of making current, playful styles accessible to all families.
Today, Crazy 8 has over 100 retail locations across the United States and an online store. Our full line of apparel, shoes, accessories and more are designed in California and made to withstand the rigors of real life.
